Nickname.

We love nicknames in this house. Hubbs hasn't called me by my real name in 13 years. For those not aware, Amelie has always had a long list of nicknames that we use daily, depending on who is calling for her.....

Lulu. That's what I called her in the hospital after she was born, and it stuck. When she's laying in bed, I stroke her hair and softly say to her, my Lulu girl"

Bravery's nicknames:

Brave.

Amelie liked to sing his name across the house, 🎢 "Bravuhree Jon Thomaaaaaathh!!"

Β

Ironically, however, Amelie loves πŸ’˜her God given name the most. It is her favorite. πŸ’˜

It very often gets mispronounced. Some people say "AYMAlee" or "ameelia", "ay-mee-lay" or "Emil" (which is hilarious isn't that a Jewish male name?) We live in a very Latin centric city, and often our name would be called in doctors waiting rooms, "Emilia Ee-vez"

it's pronounced "AH – meh – lee"

unless of course you're French, then you can pronounce it however you want because it sounds beautiful with the accent, it is a French name after all.
