Quote of the Day

While grief is fresh, every attempt to divert only irritates. You must wait till it be digested, and then amusement will dissipate the remains of it.
— Dr. Samuel Johnson

Well I sure hope you're right, buddy. I'm chewin, I'm digesting...but I have slow metabolism man and this could take awhile....me, talking to the computer. and as I type this I remember something super odd: Samuel Johnson, the dude who singlehandedly, with Tourette's Syndrome, WROTE the first major English Dictionary, shares my bday, Sept 18.

He suffered from a whole mess of severe health problems and very intense, life long depression, anxiety, poverty, and lived in perpetual miserable emotional despair and misery....so he kinda knows a thing or two about a thing or two about grief.  So I'm trusting his advice that "amusement will dissipate the remains" of my grief at some point.....
